Make 6 Architectural Renderings
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
We are a non-denominational church with a vision to build a House of Prayer in our city centre that will also function as a 3rd wave Coffee House, an Event Venue, an Arts and Crafts Gallery and a Learning Centre. We are about to present funding proposals to investors, financial institutions and our congregation. We need the following 6 architectural renderings to show interested parties what the finished project could look like:
1. A view of a Scandinavian-modern coffee house counter area – big gleaming espresso machine, attractive service area with a showcase for exotic baked goods (Patisserie, Canoli, Kochen, etc.) and a big coffee bean roaster in a background showcase window. A Barrista serving up a fancy latte to a customer to add some warmth and a hint of the hardwood and brushed stainless steel décor to finish it off.
2. The coffee house seating area with a small stage in the background. It’s Friday night; there are two folk singers with guitars on stage and a sense of quality sound and lighting (i.e. professional, not soap box.) Urban hip date night couples for clientele. Casual but classy.
3. The retail Gallery showing a variety of artworks (pictures, pottery, sculpture, glass etc.) and crafts (woodworks, jewellery, paper, unique gifts) for sale. We’re going for the less conventional methods of display – tiered boxes of multiple materials set at different heights, non-standard shelving. Again add in a couple of browsers and perhaps a service counter in the background.
4. Prayer night. A worship team on stage facing theatre style seating with room for standees in front. Lot’s of people, some with one or both hands raised. The more sense of motion and loud Christian Rock, the better. The theatre will seat about 85 in 5 semi-circular rows mirroring the curvature of the stage. The sense of the venue being warm but exciting is the most important thing to convey, but the Worship Team must be authentic. Usually there are 5-6 musicians – Lead Guitar/Singer, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Drums and a back-up singer, but you don’t have to show them all. Worship music is very vocal, so the singers are the most important.
5. A seminar room with boardroom style seating and a standing, dynamic leader referencing some Power Point. Not sure how we can make this unconventional or more exciting – this is where your creativity comes in. The class should be mixed race and engaged.
6. An exterior profile with signage. It’s summer and the Coffee House has spilled out to the sidewalk. Strong landscaping statements and lots of glass windows on this single story brick building, which runs a considerable distance on each side from a major street corner. You don’t have to show them all, but there will be 3 distinct entrances for the Coffee House, the Artisan Gallery and the Theatre. Once inside however, all three areas can be accessed. There are no streetcars or subways in this city.
We need these renderings ASAP.
