Structural Engineer for Industrial-style Office Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for an experienced Structural Engineer and Draftsman to design and detail a two-floor, industrial-style office building. The building will have approximate dimensions of 15x9 meters. I do not just need architectural concepts; I require comprehensive structural calculations, application drawings, and highly detailed manufacturing (shop) drawings ready for a steel fabricator.
Technical Specifications
Dimensions: 15m x 9m (Two floors)
Structural System: Light yet robust structural steel framing
Connections: Fully bolted connections (columns and beams connected with bolts and nuts; minimal site welding)
Interior Walls: Combination of aerated concrete bricks (AAC) and plasterboard sheets
Roof: Flat roof design
Required Deliverables
Structural Calculations: Comprehensive engineering reports proving the stability and safety of the light steel structure.
Application Drawings: General arrangement drawings, floor plans, and elevations for site execution.
Manufacturing / Shop Drawings: Detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and NC files for CNC machines. Every bolt, nut, and base plate must be detailed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven expertise in steel construction detailing and structural engineering.
High proficiency in detailing software such as Tekla Structures, Advance Steel, or similar.
Ability to interpret basic floor plans and turn them into precise, clash-free manufacturing models.
Please include in your proposal: Examples of previous steel detailing shop drawings you have completed. Proposals without relevant manufacturing drawing samples will be ignored.
