Salon Build-Out Permit Plans

Job ID: 40027730

Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD

I have a 1,600 sq ft open-shell retail unit in Columbia, SC that I’m turning into a modern salon featuring five private treatment rooms. Each room must finish at roughly 14' × 8' and be enclosed with standard drywall partitions. The existing vinyl-plank flooring will stay as-is, so no finish changes are required there.

What I need from you is a concise, code-compliant drawing set suitable for city permitting as well as for contractors to price the work. Mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering are already handled elsewhere, so please focus only on the architectural layout and interior build-out details.

Key items to include
• Dimensioned floor plan showing all new walls, doors, and room sizes
• Annotated partition types (drywall) and door schedule
• Basic reflected ceiling or plan notes if required to satisfy local permit reviewers (no lighting or HVAC design)
• Finish legend confirming retention of existing vinyl plank flooring
• Any notes or details typically requested by the City of Columbia for a tenant-upfit of this size

Speed is important—I’m aiming to submit for permit as soon as possible. Deliverables should be in PDF for review and in a CAD format (DWG or compatible) for any future tweaks.

If you have recent experience with South Carolina or similar jurisdictions and can turn around a clean, permit-ready plan set quickly, let’s talk.
