Heavy Door & Road Blocker Drafting
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need detailed design and drafting for two security components—a heavy steel swing door and a hydraulic road blocker. At the moment I only have rough, hand-sketched layouts with overall dimensions and a few functional notes. Your task is to translate those sketches into complete fabrication packages.
Scope of work
• Convert my sketches into 3-D models (SolidWorks or Inventor) and fully dimensioned 2-D fabrication drawings (AutoCAD/DWG output acceptable).
• Include exploded views, assembly drawings, and individual part details with material call-outs and weld symbols aligned with AWS standards.
• Provide a concise bill of materials for each component, listing plate thicknesses, structural profiles, pins, hinges, cylinders, fasteners, and seals.
• Verify clearances for all moving parts and note any critical tolerances needed for smooth operation and long-term durability.
Acceptance criteria
• All files open error-free and follow standard layer, line-type, and title-block conventions.
• Drawings are ready for direct hand-off to a steel fabricator—no missing dimensions, ambiguous notes, or unanswered RFI items.
• 3-D assemblies animate correctly, showing the door swing and road blocker deploy/retract sequence without interference.
Delivery
STEP/IGES and native CAD files, PDF drawing set, and the BOM spreadsheet. If you rely on any proprietary add-ins, indicate this so I can confirm compatibility before award.
