Civil Motions & Appeal Drafting

Job ID: 39774469

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need a seasoned litigator to draft and polish several urgent filings for my state-court civil case.

First, we must file a Motion to Quash service of process on the ground of lack of jurisdiction; the case is void ab initio because service was never perfected. I can supply the summons, return, and any correspondence that shows the defective service, but I rely on you to weave the jurisdictional argument, cite the controlling rule, and format the document to local-court standards.

Simultaneously, a Motion to Dismiss is required on the same void-ab-initio theory. My preference is to keep the brief to clear, general arguments—no lengthy case-law survey—yet it still needs solid reasoning, rule references, and persuasive structure. If you believe a concise precedent will strengthen the point, I am open, but exhaustive citations are not necessary.

Because I was only just discharged from the hospital, I also need a Motion for Continuance that outlines my medical circumstances and requests a brief reset of all deadlines and hearings. I will provide discharge papers and any physician’s notes you need to attach or reference.

Finally, if the court pushes ahead regardless, I want the core appeal documents ready: draft Notice of Appeal, designation of record, and a simple docketing statement, so we can file immediately without scrambling.

Deliverables (Word & PDF ready for e-filing):
• Motion to Quash (jurisdiction challenge)
• Motion to Dismiss (void ab initio, general arguments)
• Motion for Continuance (medical)
• Appeal packet (notice, record designation, docketing statement)

Everything must comply with the court’s formatting rules, citation style (Bluebook or local equivalent), and electronic filing requirements. Turnaround is time-sensitive; please tell me how quickly you can complete each document once I provide the case file.
