Basement suite design -- 2

I am buying a house and would like to put a basement suite in and need help with where to put the kitchen. I was thinking of making the back utility room the kitchen and knocking out the dividing wall between the small back area with the cedar door. Then having the big rec room a part of the upstairs tenants space. I would have to put a wall by the post to divide the spaces. Would this work? Here is the house
