Sports data website - update web design and data visualisation

Job ID: 34239422

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I have a website - https://www.tour-tips.com - that was build over 20 years ago and has been upgraded on a piecemeal, project-by-project basis over those 20 years. The result is a website that has old and conflicting technology and does not have a modern look. I am looking for someone to address this.

Here are some of the key data sections:

* https://www.tour-tips.com/PGA/Stats.aspx?table=Ratings ... written in ASP.NET. This reads data stored in a MS Access database.

* https://www.tour-tips.com/fpdb/mens.asp (database query page) and https://www.tour-tips.com/fpdb/mensdisplay.asp?chkConfig=0&pgn=&Year=All&Month=All&Tour=All&Event=&Course=&Location=&Firstname=Tiger&Surname=Woods&chkEvent=&chkCourse=&radiobutton=on&chkLocation=&numrec=50&Submit=Search (example database results page) ... written in asp. This reads data stored in a MS Access database

* https://www.tour-tips.com/PGA/inrunning.asp?table=Summary - written in asp. This reads live data collated in a MS Excel file.

* https://www.tour-tips.com/PGA/event-profile.asp - written in asp. This reads data collated in a mysql database with the backend data generated using php code.

A previous freelancer didn't backup the source code for the ASP.NET projects that was over-written with faulty code and then disappeared without further contact. I no longer have the full source code so cannot update the first (and most important) data feature listed above.

It is time for a wholesale review and a re-building of the site, using some of the existing features that work well and replacing others that do not and/or the source code has been compromised.

I am looking for this work to be an ongoing project, but that the live site is swapped over to its replacement by the end of the year.

Alongside the technical skills to achieve this, I am looking for someone with experience with sports data websites and sports data visualisation as that person will better understand what a good sports data website will look like.
