Project information
You will be joining a young and motivated team of ~10-12 developers, responsible for the continuous development and architectural evolution of the voice-/data-/screen-recorder. Our team works on many applications/services/websites using modern frameworks and tools in order to provide a design/architecture with the highest possible reliability and quality. We continuously evolve our product, sometimes by changing design and architecture, to fit the customer needs. We are looking for people with new ideas and approaches which can be integrated in a very “process” oriented development approach.
Project is the recorder product used in each business unit (ATM, ATM Defence, Public Safety, Public Transport, Maritime) for more than 15 years and counting currently over 500 installations worldwide. Our customers expect a solution working 24/7/365.
Your Tasks:
• Database design, database security, database management, and ongoing development and optimization of the product’s databases
• Designing and programming of replicated, highly available environments with SQL Server and .Net
• Database backup & recovery, migrations, performance tuning
• All tasks of a “software engineer” in a Scrum team (from design over development to testing within the team)
• Active participation in decisions about used technology, design of interfaces, and internal improvement processes
• Development of highly scalable multi-user systems (parallel processing, high system utilization)
What you bring:
• (Multiple years of job) experience as .NET engineer/SQL database engineer in an agile environment
• Relational database design and domain modelling
• Top SQL and T-SQL knowledge as well as experience with MS SQL Server 2016+
• Knowledge about performance analysis and how to tweak the database
• Experience in developing C#/.Net or Java
• Solution-oriented thinking and acting
• You are a team player, feel responsible for your and your team’s work and are committed
Even cooler, if you bring the following:
• You know the features added lately to MS SQL servers (e.g. Hekaton, columnstore indexes, JSON data type, machine learning support)
• Experience with NoSQL database paradigm and implementation (e.g. RavenDB, Apache Cassandra, Mongo DB, Redis,…)
• Experience with analysing complex data and their processing and visualization with SQL or other frameworks (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, MS Power BI)
