Social Networking website with ASP.NET MVC
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I’m setting up a niche-focused social networking platform and the tech stack is non-negotiable: ASP.NET MVC on the back end, Bootstrap 5 for responsive UI, and AJAX for a smooth, reload-free experience.
The core of the site is an interest-based community model. Users must be able to spin up their own groups, manage membership requests, and assign moderators without touching the admin panel. Each group also needs an event hub where members can create events, track RSVPs, and surface upcoming activities on a shared calendar.
For day-to-day engagement, the platform has to support rich content posts—text, photos, videos, even longform blog entries. Every post carries a simple comment-and-like system (no live chat for now). Think single-page interactions: likes update instantly, comments slide in beneath the post without a full refresh.
Key deliverables
• Bootstrap-styled pages for home, group, event, and profile views
• AJAX-powered components for posting, commenting, liking, and RSVP actions
Acceptance criteria
1. Creating, editing, and deleting a group, event, or post completes in under three clicks and without page reload.
2. Likes and comments persist to the database and re-render immediately for all users on refresh.
3. A user who is not a group member cannot view private group content or events.
4. The entire solution builds and runs in Visual Studio 2022 with no missing packages.
Hand-off assets: zipped source code,
