Sartorius PMA HD Scale Data Capture

Job ID: 39951537

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I use a Sartorius PMA-HD weighing scale and want to read its live weight values inside my own software instead of the bundled utility.
Your task is to create a lightweight Windows desktop application that:

• Connects to the PMA-HD through its standard PC interface (serial/USB).
• Continuously retrieves the current weight reading.
• Displays the value on-screen in real time and exposes it in a simple form I can reuse later (e.g., a local text file, clipboard copy, or tiny REST/IPC endpoint—whichever is quickest for this first version).

Keep the build uncomplicated—think of it as a basic proof-of-concept I can expand on later. I’m open to .NET (C#/VB), Python, or any other Windows-friendly language you prefer, so long as you include source code and clear setup instructions.

When you send your proposal, outline:
1. How you plan to communicate with the scale (libraries, protocols, drivers).
2. The language/framework you’ll use.
3. An estimated timeline to deliver a functioning prototype.

A concise yet thorough plan will help me choose quickly. Looking forward to seeing how you’d tackle this.
