Revisions to web app for IR Solutions
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are in need of experienced freelancers who can complete the following edits to an existing web app:
1. Ability to start from where you left off if web connection is lost (for Game 2: re-start from the onset of the most recent Game 2 ‘block’; but w/ flexibility to restart from beginning as needed; add warning/confirmation before closing out of tab accidentally
2. Save/dump all user data from whatever point user stops—flag in output spreadsheet whether block was completed in full or not
3. Dump additional datapoints (see example Game 1 and Game 2 data spreadsheet exports):
a. specific stimulus (word or image name) shown on each trial during both Game 1 and Game 2
b. accuracy for each trial in Game 1 (currently stores only overall tally/summary of accuracy, and reaction time/latencies for every trial)
c. For both Game 1 and Game 2—begin each row with a column indicating the username of the account that generated this dataset
4. Record all initial logins even if landing page alone is accessed(?)
5. Change font in Step 1 so “I” is unambiguous
6. Game 1: split into two blocks/substeps at Step 1. Step 1 allows us in the admin portal to upload a text file that stores the full list of the letter-word pairs that will be displayed, as well as a ‘y’ or ‘n’ that stores the correct answer to the task question displayed on-screen (whether a word or non-word has been displayed) (e.g., the text file consists of a list in the format: “I,y,good”)—see the ‘Active-Step1-stimlist’ and ‘Sham-Step1-stimlist’ text files which I’ve added to the shared project folder. We need to now upload a second text file for each task ‘type’ (Active/Sham), and this one would consist of triplets of stimuli, as well as the y/n correct answer indicator. In the end we want ‘Step 1’ to have both of these two components:
a. Step 1a: subliminal (each trial presents 3 stimuli: letter from list (displayed for 15ms) -> corresponding word from list (displayed for 15ms) -> corresponding random string of letters from list, for which participant determines if it begins with a vowel or not (stays on-screen until response is made)

b. Step 1b: supraliminal (current version—retain as is)
7. Game 1: Step 2 revisions to admin settings to make more flexible:
a. Allow us to set up paired sets of images to draw specific stimulus pairs from, similar to current admin portal available for Step 3 (see screenshots in shared folder)
For example, randomly display image pairs on each trial such that:
1/3rd of trials---displays user-specific image until clicked on-> then positive image from image ‘category’
1/3rd of trials—displays image from a pre-specified first image ‘category’ until clicked on-> then a second category we select in admin portal
1/3rd of trials—displays image from yet another first category until clicked on->then a second category
8. Game 1: Make Step 3 optional (on/off switch in admin portal)
9. Admin portal: reverse the display order of accounts on the admin portal page (most recently added at the top instead of the bottom)
10. Admin portal: add multiple admin login accounts (ability to create/suspend/delete new ones)
