Outlook to MYOB Advanced (Accumatica) Quote Interface
Budget: $50 – $0 AUD
Emails hit our dedicated sales inbox every day and I want them turned into ready-to-use quotes inside MYOB Advanced (Acumatica) without re-typing a single line. From each message—whether it arrives as simple text or rich HTML—the interface must reliably read the email and interpret the content mapping it to data such as item detail, customer information contained within MYOB.
Once those fields are captured, the tool should offer two modes. In automatic mode it calls the MYOB Advanced API and creates the quote immediately. In review mode it presents the parsed data in a clean pane or file so a user can double-check, adjust if needed, and then push the same “create” call manually. A setting or flag that toggles between the two behaviours will be fine.
I already have item codes, descriptions, price and stock levels stored in MYOB; the integration only needs to map what arrives in Outlook to those existing records, raise the quote, and confirm success (or log a clear error) back to the user.
Key deliverables:
• Outlook add-in or background listener that detects new messages in the sales inbox.
• Robust parser that copes with both plain text and HTML layouts.
• Secure connection to MYOB Advanced, including authentication handling and basic error logging.
• Configuration option that switches between automatic quote creation and manual-review output.
• Brief hand-off documentation covering setup, field mapping and how to extend or maintain the code.
I’m on Microsoft 365 and the latest MYOB Advanced build, so C#, .NET, JavaScript add-ins, or any language that plays nicely with the Outlook and Acumatica APIs are acceptable—as long as the final result runs reliably and keeps my sales team out of copy-and-paste purgatory.
