Migrate MAUI Sync Layer
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
I have a production-ready .NET MAUI app that runs on both iOS and Android. At the moment its data layer relies on Realm Sync to keep the local store and our backend in lock-step, giving users true real-time data synchronization. Realm is being phased out of our stack, so I need that entire sync layer replaced with Power Sync while retaining the same instant, bidirectional behaviour.
Key points you should know before diving in:
• The current logic, repositories, and data models are already cleanly separated, so you will mostly be swapping out the sync engine rather than refactoring the whole domain layer.
• Real-time data synchronization is non-negotiable; users expect changes made on one device to appear on another within seconds.
• All sync requests must respect our existing user authentication flow (JWT tokens issued by our .NET backend). There are no extra encryption or access-control requirements beyond what Power Sync already supports.
• The work must compile and run on both target platforms with no conditional-compilation hacks.
Please deliver:
1. Updated MAUI project integrating Power Sync with real-time sync and auth hooks wired in.
2. A brief migration guide (markdown is fine) explaining new services, configuration, and any code-first steps another developer would need to follow.
3. A test build for iOS (IPA) and Android (APK/AAB) demonstrating successful sign-in and cross-device live updates.
I’m looking for someone who has at least five years of hands-on MAUI/.NET mobile experience and can move quickly without a lengthy learning curve. If you’ve already integrated Power Sync, even better—tell me about it when you bid.
