MAUI Firebase Push Notification Demo
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a clean, no-frills .NET MAUI solution (C#, .NET 8+) that I can open and compile directly in Visual Studio 2026. The app’s single purpose is to prove end-to-end Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on both iOS and Android.
Core behaviour
* The demo app must provide for the user to obtain a Firebase token (authentication) from his phone.
• When FCM delivers a message the phone should display the STANDARD system notification banner/alert supplied by each platform, no custom UI required.
• Tapping that notification must navigate the running app straight to a “Notification Details” content page.
• Every time a notification arrives, the app icon badge should increment (1, 2, 3 …) and reset only when I clear notifications manually or uninstall.
Acceptance criteria
1. I can replace the Google-services files (google-services.json / GoogleService-Info.plist), rebuild, and immediately receive test pushes sent from Firebase Console.
2. The same VS 2026 solution and shared codebase compile and run on both emulators and physical devices for iOS and Android.
3. Notification tap reliably opens the Notification Details page even when the app was previously killed.
4. Badge count matches the number of unseen messages.
5. All code is clean, commented, and uses only officially supported MAUI and Firebase libraries; no abandoned community forks.
6. User can obtain a Firebase token by authenticating from his device.
Deliverables
• Complete Visual Studio solution, including .csproj, platforms folders, and a minimal XAML shell with the extra “Notification Details” page wired into navigation.
• Step-by-step README covering: Firebase project setup, APNs key upload, build configuration, and where to place the service files.
• A short script or instructions for sending a test FCM payload that exercises the badge increment logic.
Keep everything as lightweight as possible—no extra styling, assets, or business logic beyond what is described.
Please note: your quote is FINAL. I WILL NOT, REPEAT NOT, NEGOTIATE FOR PRICE INCREASES ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN APPOINTED.
