Large-Scale SharePoint Online Migration -- 2
Budget: ₹350 – ₹450 INR
I need a seasoned SharePoint specialist to move a large (>1 TB) collection of content from one SharePoint Online tenant to another. The job covers planning, execution, and post-migration validation.
Scope
• Assess both source and destination tenants, flagging any throttling or permission issues in advance.
• Design a migration approach that minimises downtime and preserves metadata, version history, and sharing links.
• Execute the transfer—PowerShell, ShareGate, or comparable tools are fine so long as they meet Microsoft best-practice guidelines.
• Provide clear progress reporting during the copy phase and a roll-back strategy in case of unexpected errors.
• Perform post-migration checks: item counts, search indexing, and user access.
Deliverables
1. Migration plan with timeline and risk-mitigation steps.
2. Executed migration with full audit logs.
3. Validation report confirming data integrity and permissions parity.
4. Brief knowledge-transfer session or hand-off notes so my team can manage the new environment confidently.
Acceptance Criteria
• 100 % of targeted content resides in the destination tenant.
• All metadata, versions, and permissions match the source.
• No unresolved errors in Microsoft 365 health reports at project close.
