Full-Stack Web Developer (React, Java, MongoDB) Needed for Existing App [ONLY INDEPENDENT FREELANCERS]

Job ID: 32362247

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

We're a start-up located in the Philadelphia, US area building easy-to-use tools for the real estate industry to help homebuyers during the home buying process. Our applications are currently focused on Pennsylvania homebuyers so knowledge of the Real Estate industry in the US is a huge bonus to ensure success with our team.

What we're looking for:
We are looking for a software developer comfortable working on full-stack web apps from front-end HTML/Javascript CSS, to middle tier Java web services and backend MongoDB databases. We would most likely be looking for 20-30 or so hours per week on an ongoing basis without a pre-determined end-date.

The application is already built out and is currently running in production and we need more developer support to continue to make enhancements and improvements to the platform and build out new features. The application is hosted in AWS, source code is managed using GitLab. We use Jenkins to build and package all components of the application, and Ansible to deploy to all environments. The front-end is built with React, Bootstrap, with Spring Boot / Java for the backend REST APIs communicating with MongoDB Atlas for backend database. The application is using Single Sign On (SSO) with Keycloak for Social Login.

You'll be working under the leadership of our Co-Founder / CTO to take on the day-to-day software development duties since our Co-Founder no longer has the available time to continue heads-down software development. The right candidate should be comfortable working autonomously within an existing architecture and be a self-starter able to pick up tasks and projects and be able to iterate through a continuous delivery cycle to release software to test and production weekly.

You should be comfortable working with GitLab or GitHub following the Pull-Request model. All issues are logged in GitLab and we track our time using Hubstaff. We have weekly meetings to go over progress and status and plan releases weekly or bi-weekly depending on complexity of the new features under development.

In your proposal, please share a brief summary of your experience and tell us about a recent full stack web development project you worked on.
