C# Developer for Point of Sale Terminal Application (Windows Desktop)
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I'm in need of a skilled C# developer proficient in modern Windows Forms (preferably using .NET 8+). The ideal candidate should be adept in database management, particularly MySQL, alongside other essential tools for creating powerful business applications. You (the freelancer) will be working alongside myself to develop a POS (Point of Sale) application that will be used by local restaurants.
The length of this project is a week. Whether the project get fully completed or not, that is not the goal. The goal of this project is to have at least a starting point on most, if not all APIs and features. You will be working on some of the more challenging portions of the software, such as:
- Credit Card Terminal Communication
- Receipt Printer Communication
- Cash Drawer Communication
- Table Layout (UI)
- etc...
Note that this is my first time hiring a developer, and I am looking forward to working with you soon!

Platform:
The business application is intended for Windows. Therefore, the selected developer must have a strong background in developing for this platform.
Data Visualization:
The client expects real-time data updates as part of the data visualization feature of the application. This requires a developer with experience in implementing such functionality.
The developer we are looking for should:
- Be proficient in C#, Windows Forms, and the .NET Generic Host model
- Be proficient in using the source control Git, as well as GitHub (via github.com)
- Have a solid understanding of MySQL and database management
- Have experience in creating business applications with user authentication, reporting, and analytics functionalities
- Have a proven track record in delivering applications with real-time data updates
- Be able to work with the team to integrate project-specific functionalities.
