Convert cash register software from Embarcadero to C#
Budget: €1,500 – €3,000 EUR
I am looking for an experienced developer to convert a simple cash register software project, consisting of approximately 20,000 lines of code, from Embarcadero to C# and .NET.
The main goal of this conversion is to achieve performance improvements while maintaining the current field format (currently MS-Access database, but ideally migrating to SQL Server).
It is important to ensure that the application is set up to be integrated into other future modules (API?) while maintaining the existing fields, so as to avoid having to redo existing reports and components.
Reporting will need to be based on FastReport (there is currently a proprietary engine).
In addition, I would like to take this opportunity to improve the user interface and user experience of the application with a modern design, in order to ensure a more engaging and intuitive experience.
Key requirements:
- Convert ERP code from Embarcadero to C# and .NET
- Multilingual (IT-DE-FR-EN)
- Maintain the existing database structure or migrate it to SQL Server
- Create integration with FastReport
- Implement a modern user interface design and user experience for the application
