Convert VB.Net 4.8.1 Program to C#.Net7 - 07/03/2023 04:01 EST
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
The project spec will be as follows:
1. An existing VB.net 4.8.1 Framework solution consisting approximately 160000 lines of usable code needs to be converted to C#.net 7 Core. The functionality of the code needs to be identical to what it does at present. The solution uses GrapeCity ComponentOne Winforms components. The awardee will need to update these to .Net7.
2. The solution uses Crystal reports. These will all need to be converted to the latest version of Grape City Active Reports. The reports will need to be identical to what they are now.
3. The layout and the organization of the code must remain unchanged. It will need to be maintainable and my existing team must be able to instantly recognize how the code is organised and its purpose even though it is no longer in VB.
4. Access to a SQL database will be made via Azure I hope in the not too distant future. We will provide access so that the awardee can run the program and test it against the existing code.
The project will be complete once the code is running and free of bugs, and a complete set of the functional code has been delivered which my dev team recogise as organized like it presently is and above all which can compile.
6. There will be weekly code reviews to understand progress so that we can see there is tangible progress according to an agreed timeline. The code is logically organized so the awardee can set us of deadlines/milestones and show us that they are achieved or missed along the way. Significant program slippage without cause will result in program cancellation.
7. Payment will be made on completion of the project.
8. The desired completion timeline is 30 days from award of project.
9. The project budget is US$2000.00
