I'm seeking a professional with deep experience in Google Sheets and manufacturing systems to help me set up a Google Sheet-based system for my medium-sized manufacturing enterprise. The scale of my business has grown significantly, and it's time for a neat and automated solution as far as Google Sheet allows.
Key Objectives:
- Improve Inventory Management
- Streamline Production Scheduling
- Enhance Customer and Manufacturing Order Tracking
Core Functions
- Master Production Schedule (daily basis)
- Customer Orders' List
- Shop Floor
- Inventory Database (Parts and Finished Goods with Warehouse assigment)
- Product Database (Product Name, BOM List, Cycle Time)
Specific Tasks:
- Recording of incoming parts quantity from suppliers in Inventory
- Management of SKU (creation, addition & modification) in Inventory
- Recording of Customer Order with Order Number, Product Type, Quantity, Customer's Name, Delivery Date/Due Date and Fulfillment Status
- Automated creation of Manufacturing Order in Shop Floor from Customer Orders' List
- Automated transfer of required amount to produce by due date from Customer Orders' List Master Production Schedule
- Parts quantity check for any amount of a specific Product to be manufactured with warning function if quantity is insufficient
- Management of Manufacturing Order in Shop Floor (On Process, Complete, On Hold)
- Automated parts consumption in Inventory according to Product's BOM List once Manufacturing Order is set to On Process
- Automated addition of finished Product to Inventory once Manufacturing Order is set to Complete
- Calculation of daily Production Load, reflected in Master Production Schedule and set as a percentage of Production Capacity*
- Management of outgoing Products and Parts with record
- Additional capability of recording Rejected Parts & Finished Goods with link to transitional Warehouse
- Additional capability of recording other Activities besides manufacturing (Repair, Sub Assembly, Parts Processing)
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets
- Experience in implementing MES and MRP systems
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to utilize various Google Sheets features for automation
- Proficiency in using data validation, conditional formatting and custom formulas
