Automate Power BI PDF Exports

Job ID: 40262247

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

I need a fully automated way to generate PDF reports from an existing Power BI dashboard without any manual clicks. The dashboard mixes charts, tables and maps, and the PDFs must always reflect the latest slicer settings for our Category filters and user-specific data.

Here is the flow I have in mind:
1. A Power Automate cloud flow (or hybrid flow if you prefer) receives the desired slicer values—either from another system, a SharePoint list, or hard-coded test data while you build.
2. The flow calls the Power BI REST API (or, if you think it’s cleaner, an Azure Automation runbook driven by PowerShell cmdlets) to apply those slicer values dynamically.
3. Once the filters are in place, the same flow triggers an Export-To-File request and waits until the PDF is ready.
4. The resulting file, based on our existing standard template, is saved to OneDrive, emailed, or posted to Teams—whatever is simplest for demonstration, I can adapt from there.

Deliverables I expect:
• A working Power Automate flow (exported .zip) or ARM template.
• Any supporting PowerShell scripts with clear inline comments.
• A short read-me explaining required connectors, API permissions and how to swap in new slicer fields later.
• A quick video or screenshot walkthrough proving the flow runs end-to-end with no human interaction.

Acceptance criteria: if I can trigger the flow, watch it set Category and user filters automatically, and receive a correctly filtered PDF in less than five minutes, we’re done.

Feel free to propose using Logic Apps, Azure Functions or other tools if you think they’ll simplify authentication or throttling, but the core requirement is zero manual intervention once the flow starts. I’m ready to begin as soon as you can outline your approach.
