AutoCAD Scaffold Automation Script

Job ID: 40150312

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I want to remove the repetitive drafting work from our AT-PAC ring-lock scaffold layouts. I already have a full library of blocks for this system (similar to the ones we used on Projects 1 and 2) and now need a script that can place and size those blocks automatically.

Here is what matters:

• Inputs. When I launch the routine I will feed in every dimensional variable that appears in the user manual—bay length, bay width, ledger heights, vertical rises, and any connection detail that affects component selection.
• Logic. The code must read those values, pick the matching block, stretch or swap it where required, and then assemble a clean 2D plan and elevation.
• Output. A finished drawing on our standard title-block, layers and linetypes intact, ready for immediate issue.

You can choose the automation route that suits you—AutoLISP, .NET, or Python-based scripting through the AutoCAD API—as long as you keep the file structure editable for future tweaks.

I will supply:
• the complete block library,
• the current manual workflow, and
• a sample parameter sheet.

Acceptance is straightforward: run the script with a sample parameter set and produce a drawing that matches the manual version element-for-element.

If you have delivered similar parameter-driven drafting tools before, especially for scaffolding or modular construction, I would like to see them.
