ASP.NET IIS App with SQL
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I’m building an ASP.NET application that will run on IIS and I need reliable support throughout the back-end and database layers. The project covers three SQL-related areas: designing and structuring the database from scratch, migrating legacy data into the new schema, and then fine-tuning queries so performance stays sharp under load.
On the application side I’m using Web Forms for the user interface, backed by a set of API services that expose selected functionality to other systems. Robust authentication and authorization must be baked in from the start so we can meet internal security policies.
You’ll work mainly with Microsoft SQL Server, C#, and VB.NET (some legacy modules are in VB). Familiarity with Windows Server administration is a plus as it speeds up troubleshooting on the IIS host.
Deliverables
• Normalized SQL Server database schema with indexes, keys, and documentation
• Clean migration scripts / packages for importing legacy data
• Optimized stored procedures and queries, benchmarked and explained
• ASP.NET Web Forms pages wired to the database
• REST-style API endpoints with authentication tokens
• Role-based access control integrated across Web Forms and APIs
• Deployment instructions for IIS so the hand-off is smooth
Acceptance criteria
1. All database operations complete within agreed performance thresholds.
2. Migration runs end-to-end without data loss, confirmed by row counts and checksums.
3. Unit tests for APIs and authentication pass in CI.
4. Final build deploys on IIS with no manual tweaks besides documented config values.
If this stack is in your comfort zone and you can keep communication clear and timely, let’s get started.
