We have a successful CRM messaging application for the Desktop developed in Visual Basic and SQL Server and using the software development kit (SDK) from the CRM vendor as well as various APIs from various Message Service providers (REST, SOAP, etc.). As part of the evolution of the product there is a requirement to move to the Cloud and also the new Web API for the software vendor. Ideally you will be a developer with strong experience in migrating applications from Visual Basic to Visual Studio and .NET to Azure. The current Desktop app has a client app that directly interacts with the CRM App’s SDK and a stand alone Windows app that processes XML message files generated in the preferred format of the Message Service provider’s API. The new application will need to provide a Web app that operates in a similar way to a phone messaging app and can operate alongside the CRM web application (in context), i.e. the contact being viewed in the CRM app should be the same contact being viewed in the messaging app. There would also need to be a secure message management portal that provides the user all of the message management features available in our windows desktop app and also provide the mechanism to interact with all of our integrations with other message service provider APIs. All of the User Interface (UI) work has been done and customers have given many thumbs up to our application. Therefore, we are simply wanted to migrate/replicate what we have done on the Desktop and move this to the cloud.
