US-Based Remote Software Engineer – 5+ Years Exp, Strong English & Interview Skills (Full Remote)
Budget: $20,000 – $50,000 USD
We are looking for a highly skilled US-based Software Engineer to join our team on a fully remote, long-term freelance/contract basis.
Important Requirements (must meet ALL to be considered):
Must be currently located in the United States (US citizen, permanent resident, or authorized to work in the US — no exceptions, no offshore)
5+ years of professional software engineering experience (proven track record with real-world projects)
Strong technical interview performance — comfortable with coding challenges, system design, algorithms, and behavioral questions (we may conduct a technical interview)
Excellent English proficiency — C1 level or higher (fluent spoken and written English; clear communication is critical)
Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment (experience with Agile/Scrum, daily stand-ups, code reviews, Git workflows, Slack/Teams communication, etc.)
Comfortable working fully remotely with US time zone overlap (EST/CST preferred for meetings)
What we're looking for (nice-to-have but helpful):
Experience with modern tech stacks (please specify your strongest areas in your bid: e.g., React/Next.js, Node.js, Python/Django, Java/Spring, AWS/cloud, mobile (iOS/Android), etc.)
Previous freelance or remote work experience
Strong problem-solving skills and clean, maintainable code practices
