Senior Technical Writer – Mining / Industrial Equipment Documentation (Rio Tinto Projects)
We are seeking a highly experienced technical writer to support documentation for industrial equipment supplied to Tier-1 mining clients including Rio Tinto.
This role involves preparing professional, client-ready documentation packages for engineered equipment used in mining, construction, and remote power applications.
The ideal candidate has previous experience preparing technical documentation for engineering equipment supplied to mining companies or EPC contractors.

You will work alongside our engineering and project teams to produce structured documentation including:
• Operations & Maintenance Manuals
• Manufacturer Data Reports (MDRs)
• Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Commissioning and Handover Documentation
• Technical Equipment Manuals
• Compliance Documentation
• Technical Datasheets and Product Guides

The documentation will relate to equipment such as:
• Diesel generators
• Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
• Hybrid power systems
• Industrial electrical equipment
• Custom engineered and manufactured power systems and integrated energy solutions

We are specifically looking for someone who has experience with:
• Technical documentation for industrial or engineered equipment
• Mining or heavy industry projects
• MDR compilation and document registers
• Client submission documentation for Tier-1 mining companies
• Working with engineering specifications, drawings, and technical standards
• Documentation prepared for Rio Tinto, BHP, Fortescue or EPC contractors
Experience with quality documentation systems and document control processes is highly desirable.
