Residential Childcare Home Conduct Code
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I need a clear, practical Code of Conduct tailored for our residential childcare home. The document will be read first and foremost by staff members, so it must guide their day-to-day decisions in plain, accessible language while still satisfying external inspectors.
Core focus
The code should place child safety front and centre, spell out professional boundaries for every employee role, and lay down straightforward communication protocols that keep information flowing without compromising confidentiality.
What I expect to receive
• A concise, well-structured policy document (ideally 8–12 pages) written in UK English
• Sections covering:
– Child safety policies (safeguarding, reporting duties, supervision ratios, emergency actions)
– Employee behaviour guidelines (professional conduct on- and off-duty, use of social media, conflict of interest, discipline)
– Communication protocols (shift handovers, incident reporting, interaction with children’s families, escalation paths)
• A one-page summary or poster version that can be pinned in staff areas
• Editable source file (Word or Google Docs)
Acceptance criteria
1. Language is age-appropriate for staff with mixed educational backgrounds.
2. Every policy point links back to our aim: ensuring the safety and well-being of children while maintaining professional boundaries.
3. Document references current UK safeguarding legislation and Ofsted guidance.
4. Ready for immediate adoption—no placeholders or “TBD” sections.
If you’ve drafted similar childcare or safeguarding policies before, mention it in your proposal and, if possible, share a redacted sample. I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right fit and will be responsive throughout the process to clarify details or local regulations.
