Nextcloud Multi-Company Platform
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I want to stand up a production-ready Nextcloud environment that can securely serve between one and five separate companies. The core pieces I need working smoothly are:
• Robust file sharing and storage
• Built-in collaboration tools (chat, calendar, tasks, office editing)
• Full user management with granular, group-based permissions
Each company must operate in its own space while still living on a single, efficiently maintained server stack. That means company-specific groups, folder structures, and quotas, plus clear boundaries so users never see anything outside their scope.
Scope of work
– Install and harden the latest stable Nextcloud release on my chosen VPS or dedicated server (Ubuntu LTS preferred).
– Configure LDAP or in-app user management so I can quickly spin up new companies, groups, and users.
– Set up default permission templates that let me assign admins, managers, and standard users for each company with just a few clicks.
– Enable and test collaboration apps (Talk, Calendar, Contacts, OnlyOffice/Collabora) to be sure real-time editing and communication work out of the box.
– Implement secure backup, monitoring, and update procedures so the platform stays healthy and recoverable.
– Provide a short hand-off document or screen-share walkthrough summarising how to add a new company, adjust roles, and keep the system patched.
Acceptance criteria
1. Separate logins for at least two demo companies, each isolated from the other.
2. A sample folder tree with correct access rights for admins, managers, and users.
3. Successful real-time co-editing of an office document between two test accounts.
4. Backup job completes and can restore to a fresh server image.
With everything in place I’ll handle day-to-day administration; I simply need a clean, secure foundation that scales to a handful of tenants without hassles.
