KM-Miles & Map Install Guide
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’m putting together a complete, written walkthrough that shows me two things:
1. How to switch any Audi, BMW or Volkswagen cluster / navigation unit from kilometres to miles, and
2. How to load the latest navigation maps on those same cars, model-specific. For example install uk maps on japanese imports
Written, step-by-step instructions are what I need most. The section on map installation should be the most detailed, covering MMI, iDrive and Discover Media/Pro systems respectively. Please organise the guide so I can move straight from the odometer change to the map update without hunting for information.
Include every tool, cable and piece of software required—for example VCDS or ODIS for VW/Audi, ISTA+/ENET for BMW, suitable USB 3.0 sticks or SD cards, as well as any licence files or FSC codes—so I can source everything in one go. Where options exist (e.g., genuine vs aftermarket map licences) note the difference and any risk.
