Malawi Quality Control Inspector Needed
Budget: $40 – $65 USD
I need an on-site quality control inspection carried out on mechanical equipment installed at several facilities in Malawi. The bulk of the work involves checking industrial machinery against drawings and specifications, confirming material certificates, verifying dimensions and tolerances, observing functional tests, and documenting any non-conformities in a clear, photo-supported report.
Although mechanical inspection is the immediate priority, it would be a plus if you can also extend the same rigorous approach to electrical, chemical, or even bio-chemical items should the project scope widen while you are on site.
Site visits will be scheduled in advance, mostly around Lilongwe and Blantyre, and each visit must conclude with:
• A signed inspection report (PDF) that highlights pass/fail points, recommendations, and relevant standards referenced.
• A zipped folder of time-stamped photos covering every inspected component and test witnessed.
Please indicate the inspection tools you normally carry—calipers, surface-roughness gauges, multimeters, sampling kits, etc.—so I can make sure everything needed on the day is available. Turnaround on the report should be within 48 hours of each visit.
