I’m looking for someone who can jump in and get my mixed wired-and-wireless office network running smoothly while also sorting out the software side of things. The environment is small but busy: a handful of desktop PCs on Ethernet, a few laptops and mobiles on Wi-Fi, plus shared printers that must be reachable from every device.
Your main focus will be software installation, configuration and fault-finding—everything from keeping operating systems current to making sure common productivity apps and printer drivers talk to each other over the hybrid network. Along the way you may need to tweak router, switch or access-point settings so the wired and wireless segments behave like a single, seamless LAN.
Success for me is simple: every computer and printer can see each other, no unexplained drop-outs, and no error messages when users launch their everyday applications. Once you’ve finished, a short hand-over note describing what you changed and any future maintenance tips will wrap things up.
