High-Voltage Panel and relay Commissioning & Testing

I’m ready to bring a new high-voltage (35 kV+) power-distribution installation online and need an experienced commissioning engineer to make sure every circuit breaker and protection relay performs exactly as designed.

Scope
• Review all drawings, schematics and vendor test sheets before arrival on site.
• Execute insulation resistance, continuity, ratio, polarity and functional tests on switchgear, transformers, bus ducts and associated protection panels.
• Coordinate energisation sequence, run load trials and verify relay settings in accordance with IEC / IEEE standards and our local utility requirements.
• Document all findings and punch-list items, then return to site for final acceptance once corrections are closed.
• Produce a concise commissioning dossier: signed test sheets, calibrated instrument certificates, red-line mark-ups and a final handover report.

Acceptance criteria
1. All equipment tested and signed off with no outstanding Category A faults.
2. Protection scheme proven by secondary injection and trip verification.
3. Complete commissioning dossier delivered in both PDF and original editable formats.

You’ll be working alongside my site team, so clear daily notes and safety method statements are essential. If you’re comfortable with high-voltage environments and can slot into a live construction schedule, let’s lock in dates and get this system energised safely.
