I’m looking for a detail-oriented technical writer who can turn our hardware specifications into a clear, technician-focused user manual. The product is an industrial-grade piece of equipment, so accuracy and safety messaging are critical.
You’ll receive the engineering drawings, exploded views, and existing change logs. From there, I need you to:
• Map out the product overview, operating theory, and control panel call-outs
• Develop step-by-step procedures for setup, calibration, normal operation, and shutdown
• Highlight safety cautions and warnings in line with CE/UL style conventions
• Add concise troubleshooting and error-code tables
• Format the final document in both editable Word and press-ready PDF, using consistent styles, vector diagrams, and cross-referenced sections
An internal engineer will review the draft; once feedback is incorporated and the manual passes our in-house test script, the project is complete. If you’ve previously produced technician manuals for hardware or consumer electronics, please share a sample that shows your layout skills, diagram clarity, and command of technical language.
