Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Odoo developer to customize and extend the Odoo 18 Community Edition ERP system for a logistics operation handling truck fleet management, cargo transport, and driver operations.
Scope of Work:
1. Custom Modules Development
Truck Management: Track vehicle data, trip counters, licensing, and odometer readings.
Trailer Assignment: One-to-one truck-trailer relationships with historical tracking.
Driver Management: Custom driver fields, vacation tracking, activity logs, and assignment history.
Trip Management: Custom trip module for managing single and double moves, expenses, and driver tips.
Cargo Management: Master cargo types and child cargos with validation and trailer-type compatibility.
2. Reporting & Notifications
Generate dynamic reports: Truck usage, trip summaries, cargo statistics, expenses, tips, and bonuses.
Implement alerts: License expiry, maintenance reminders based on distance thresholds.
3. UI Simplification
Hide/remove irrelevant Odoo fields and tabs across modules.
Role-based access and custom field visibility per user group.
Multilingual label support (Arabic + English).
4. Security & Access Control
Enforce access rules on truck, trip, and driver data.
Secure document uploads (e.g., license, ID images) with restricted visibility.
5. Testing & Documentation
Provide full documentation: data models, workflows, report logic.
Functional testing, sample data, and user guides required.
Source code versioned via Git and delivered as custom installable modules.
Technical Requirements:
Must follow Odoo's ORM conventions and UI patterns.
Code must be modular, upgrade-safe, and PEP8-compliant.
Reports via QWeb with Excel/PDF export support.
Acceptance Criteria:
All features tested in staging with UAT.
Performance: System must support 1000+ records per model.
Reports and notifications must function in real-time and meet the business logic outlined.
