# ESP32 NFC Audio Player Firmware Development (Children's Audio Box)

## Project Overview

We are developing BAYANI, a screen-free educational audio box for children inspired by products such as Toniebox.

The hardware platform already exists and includes:

* ESP32
* NFC reader (PN532 or compatible)
* MicroSD card
* Audio DAC (I2S)
* Audio amplifier
* 3 control buttons
* LED indicators
* Li-Ion battery
* USB-C connection

At this stage, we are looking for an experienced embedded firmware developer to create the V1 firmware.

### NFC Figurine Detection

* Detect NFC figurine placement
* Read NFC UID
* Associate UID with audio content
* Start playback automatically when a figurine is placed

### Playback Control

* MP3 playback from microSD card
* Play / Pause

### Figurine Removal

* Immediate pause when figurine is removed
* Save playback position
* Resume from last position when figurine is placed again

### Battery Management

* Battery level monitoring
