Altium ECAD PCB Design Review (HV Clearances) - Filament Driver Board
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We need an Altium expert to review the PCB layout of the "Filament Driver Board" in preparation for some reliability upgrades. There are multiple high-voltage net classes with fairly complex rules, so we need to check that the design rules and associated clearances are already working correctly and meet IPC2221. There are a few 600V traces on the board, so we want to be sure that the rules are fully working before proceeding with some upgrades.
Key Requirements:
- Expert in Altium with Access to Altium v23
- Experience using Altium net classes for electrical clearance rules/verification.
- Expert in reviewing/verifying/upgrading PCB designs
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience meeting IPC2221 specifications.
- Experienced in layout of isolated gate drivers >400V with high-speed SIC FETs.
- Familiarity with maintaining mechanical clearances based on DXF mechanical layers.
- Ability to contribute to EE design reviews of existing schematics/layouts.
Tasks
1) Review the project and associated high-voltage clearance rules.
2) Review PCB layout for any issues, particularly including problems in HV clearance rules
3) Find the worst-case HV clearances in design vs. max IPC2221 recommendations.
4) Create a report document regarding the above, detailing the worst-case HV clearance locations.
5) If there are any clearance rule issues, fix the rules so we are ready to start upgrades.
If you would like to do a separate schematic and PCB review, please bid with that in mind, and give me a proposal detailing your planned actions/cost/schedule.
