jBPM Workflow Implementation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Background
An office needs to supervise obtaining documents from different government agencies (13 in total). Obtaining all the documentation is 1 process instance (as per jBPM standard) divided into 5 sub processes. We are currently having 250 processes instances in total (at different stages. 200 of those closed/ended. Not planning on having more than a 100 opened at any given time). Acquiring one document opens the possibility of acquiring other documents in an orderly Business Process manner (as per jBPM standard). The process is always the same and the supervisor wishes to know exactly at what stage are the documents and minimal info about them (start date, end date, obtained boolean and a note suffices). Preferably, the documents pdf's need to be uploaded for the system to act as the documentation archive. We plan to use the system's dashboard if it suffices or do a minimal dashboard (through pages) for our own KPIs.
Process Technicalities
I can attach a BPMN diagram done in Business Central from the stage 3 which is one of the most intricate.
Current Status

I setup a small server with an unused machine (AMD A8-5500B APU, 8Gb RAM, 500Gb HH) for which I have full ssh access to the server. It runs on a local LAN network with no outside connection. My idea would be for my support to do a parallel installation and work along me passing the project parts/files for me to implement in the office (or a way in which we can agree is suitable for both, I'm flexible)
All processes have already been manually mapped
I'm doing as of now a 1 Parent process with 5 sub-processes implementation so each process instance has the same id for follow up (could change upon recommendation)
sub-process 1 is in trials, but giving errors
sub-process 2 is mapped pending process variables configuration
sub-processes 3-5 are yet to be drawn in Business Central and configured
Dashboard configuration pending
Requirements
Check current implementation for persistance and data backup. I've already tested and seems to be persistent (server on and off, unconfigured jaeger which was causing server log problems, etc)
Check current data object implementation strategy and configuration
Check current process variables configuration. (This is my major headache)
Check User roles for process execution (I am having trouble with this)
Erase test data (if possible, or we could do a reinstallation)
Modify dashboard according to KPIs and tests
Bottom Line
As long as I can track the workflow, show it graphically and have a dashboard showing it's KPIs, the installation is a success. You can contact me through github and we can take it from there is interested.
