Web App for 3D File Visualization

Job ID: 38490831

Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR

I am looking to develop a simple web application with the following functionality:

User Registration and Authentication:

Users should be able to register on the platform with their details.
After registration, users should be able to log in using their credentials.

Dashboard with Case List:

Upon logging in, the user should be redirected to a dashboard where a list of cases is displayed.
Each case corresponds to a specific file (which has been pre-uploaded to the server).

File Selection and Visualization:

When the user selects a file from the list, the file should be opened in a Docker container.
The Docker container will run an instance of 3D Slicer (https://www.slicer.org/), a medical image visualization software.
The selected file should be loaded into 3D Slicer within the Docker container for the user to view and interact with.

Technical Requirements:

Backend:

The backend should handle user registration, authentication, and case/file management.
It should be able to dynamically launch Docker containers with the 3D Slicer image when a file is selected.
Docker containers should be managed efficiently to ensure resources are properly utilized.
Frontend:

A simple and intuitive interface for user registration and login.
A dashboard that lists the available cases/files for the logged-in user.
An option to select and view the file, which will trigger the Docker container with 3D Slicer.

Docker:

The Docker container must run a 3D Slicer image.
The file selected by the user must be mounted into the Docker container so that 3D Slicer can open and display it.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Experience with web development (frontend and backend).
Strong understanding of Docker and containerized applications.
Familiarity with 3D Slicer or similar medical imaging software is a plus.
Knowledge of server management to handle Docker and web services.

Additional Information:

Please include examples of similar projects you have worked on, particularly those involving Docker or medical imaging software.
The project will require both development and deployment on a server (which could be AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar).
