Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Node.js / TypeScript Developer to build production-ready backend services on Google Cloud. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security.

This is a hands-on backend role.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and own backend services using Node.js and TypeScript

Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices (Express.js / NestJS)

Deploy services on Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, or GKE

Implement logging, monitoring, tracing, and metrics

Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability

Ensure security, privacy, and compliance (PII, secrets, IAM)

Collaborate with product and engineering teams

Write clean, testable, and maintainable code

Required Skills

2+ years of backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript

Strong knowledge of async programming, performance tuning, and API design

Production experience with Google Cloud (GCP)

Solid understanding of REST APIs and schema validation

Experience with Docker and containerized deployments

CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions or Cloud Build)

Strong Git and code review skills

Security fundamentals (OAuth2, JWT, IAM, secrets management)
