Senior Fullstack/Backend Engineer for SaaS Architecture

Fullstack Backend Lead (NestJS + AWS) – SaaS Platform Development

We're looking for a senior fullstack/backend engineer with 8–10 years of experience to lead the backend architecture of our cloud-based SaaS platform. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys owning features end-to-end—from planning to production.

What You’ll Do:
Lead the design and development of robust backend systems using NestJS (TypeScript)

Manage CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments (AWS)

Set up monitoring, alerting, and write CloudWatch Logs Insights queries

Design and implement end-to-end data processing pipelines

Own the architecture for core features and collaborate across teams

Review legacy code and recommend refactors or improvements

Contribute to DevOps when needed and ensure clean, maintainable code

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other engineers

Required Skills:
8–10 years of backend development experience (cloud-based SaaS preferred)

Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript

Strong hands-on experience with NestJS

Proficient in Docker, CI/CD, and production deployment practices

Deep understanding of AWS (Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch, etc.)

Strong knowledge of MongoDB and OpenSearch

Comfortable with WebSockets, data modeling, and custom TypeScript decorators

Familiar with Yarn monorepos, GitHub, and Jira

Bonus Frontend Skills:
Experience with React and TailwindCSS

Able to contribute to frontend features when required

Leadership & Ownership:
Proven experience leading small teams or projects

Comfortable translating product vision into technical architecture

Able to work with minimal specs and ambiguous requirements

Takes initiative and sees features through from planning to production
