Repoint Site To Production Subdomain
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
My application already runs inside Docker, and the stack is working fine. I now need the live traffic moved to a new production subdomain (for example, app.mydomain.com) while the root domain’s front page simply points visitors to that subdomain.
Here’s what the job involves:
• The server is Docker-based; all compose files are in place, so you’ll work within that setup.
• DNS access is ready, and SSL must remain intact.
• I’d like the switch handled with no downtime, followed by a quick verification that everything resolves correctly.
Deliverables
1. Update DNS and Docker-side reverse-proxy rules so the service answers on the new production subdomain.
2. Redirect or relink the existing root domain’s front page to the subdomain.
3. Supply a brief summary of the changes for future reference.
If you have solid Docker networking experience, let me know your timeline and any questions you might have.
