Linux Specialist for Network, Server & Migration Project

We are looking for an experienced Linux, DevOps, and Server Migration specialist to help us migrate all workloads from our Contabo VPS to our on-premise Dell R640 server environment.
The current VPS hosts Plesk (domains, websites, DNS, SSL, email), multiple Odoo SaaS instances (Docker), PostgreSQL databases, MySQL databases, OnlyOffice Document Server, Traccar GPS Tracking (Docker), and mass emailing components. All of these must be migrated, rebuilt, and fully validated on our new on-prem infrastructure.
Our on-prem environment includes Dell R640 (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS), Docker Engine, Plesk Obsidian, Dell R630, HP managed switch with LACP bonding, Mikrotik RB5009 router, Synology NAS1 & NAS2 for DR, and Unifi Biz 2Gbps WAN. You will assist in configuring Docker stacks, restoring databases, moving mailboxes, migrating domains, configuring NAT/firewall rules, validating public access, and ensuring all services work identically or better than before.
The new environment consists of:
- Dell R640 – Primary application & database server (migration target)
- Dell R630 – Secondary application server
- HP J9981A Managed Switch – LACP aggregation for high throughput
- MikroTik RB5009 Router – PPPoE, firewall, NAT, VPN, public access
- SK-G7220 ONU (Bridge Mode) – Unifi Biz 2Gbps WAN termination
- Synology NAS1 & NAS2 – Backup & DR storage
- Network Layout: 192.168.0.0/24 with static assignments for servers, NAS, iDRAC, and network devices
This configuration provides high availability, strong security, fast internal networking (bonded links), and isolated backup storage.
Tasks include:
– Migrating Odoo SaaS (Docker + DB + filestore)
– Migrating Plesk hosting + emails
– Migrating OnlyOffice & Traccar
– Configuring backups to NAS
– Testing all services after cutover
– Ensuring zero data loss & minimal downtime
You must have strong experience in Docker, Linux, Plesk, Odoo, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and server migration.
