Immich Docker-Compose Deployment

Job ID: 40458028

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I want a clean, self-contained docker-compose stack that spins up a brand-new Immich instance on a fresh server. The goal is to be able to clone the repo, run docker-compose up -d, and have Immich reachable on its default port with all volumes, environment variables, and network settings correctly wired.

Key points
• This is for a first-time installation, not an update or a troubleshooting exercise.
• I do not need Redis, Nginx, or any other companion containers right now—just the core Immich services and the database it requires. If PostgreSQL is still the standard backend, please include it; if Immich now supports other options, feel free to suggest the simplest stable choice.
• Provide a concise README or inline comments explaining any configurable values (.env style), volume paths, and how to back up user data.

Acceptance criteria
– docker-compose.yml validates with docker compose config.
– Running the stack on Ubuntu 22.04 with Docker Engine ≥ 24 launches Immich without errors and the web UI is accessible.
– A test upload confirms photos are stored in the mapped volume.

Deliverables
1. docker-compose.yml
2. Sample .env (only keys that must be changed)
3. Quick-start README covering start/stop, restore, and upgrade basics

If you have recently deployed Immich yourself and can reference that experience, let me know; speed and clarity will be valued.
