Hands-On AWS DevOps Web Project
Budget: ₹1,250 – ₹2,500 INR
I’m ready to dive beyond tutorials and actually build a live web application on AWS. The goal is to develop, deploy, and operate a small but fully functional Python-based site that uses EC2 for compute, S3 for storage, and Lambda functions for event-driven pieces. I’d like to containerise the service with Docker, orchestrate it on Kubernetes (EKS preferred), and set up an automated Jenkins pipeline so every commit travels from Git to production without manual steps.
You will work side-by-side with me—screen-sharing or recording sessions—to explain each decision, let me type along, and answer questions in real time. By the end I want to feel confident I can repeat the workflow alone.
Key deliverables
• Source code and Dockerfiles in a Git repo
• Terraform or CloudFormation scripts that create the entire stack (VPC, EC2, S3 buckets, EKS cluster, IAM roles, etc.)
• A Jenkinsfile that builds, tests, pushes images, and triggers rolling updates on Kubernetes
• Lambda functions (Python) wired to S3 events or API Gateway, demonstrated live
• Concise documentation summarising architecture, commands used, and common troubleshooting tips
Acceptance criteria
1. Website reachable over HTTPS, served from the Kubernetes cluster.
2. Push to the main branch triggers Jenkins, builds the Docker image, and deploys with zero downtime.
3. An S3 upload fires a Lambda function and logs a verifiable result.
4. I can destroy and recreate the stack with a single command and have everything work exactly the same.
