Docker & Data VPS Migration
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need the complete move of three containerised services—n8n, NocoDB and one additional database—from my current Ubuntu VPS to a brand-new VPS. SSH access is already in place for both machines, and every existing setting, environment variable, volume mount and database record must survive the journey intact.
The work covers:
• Exporting the Docker images or pulling them from a registry
• Copying each persistent volume and any bind-mounted data folders
• Dumping, transferring and restoring the standalone database
• Re-creating the stack on the destination server (likely via docker-compose, but follow whatever method keeps configurations identical)
• Opening the same ports and replicating firewall rules so endpoints, webhooks and scheduled workflows keep working without edits
I’ll consider the job done once all three services start on the new VPS, data integrity checks pass, and I can hit the usual URLs with no behavioural changes. Please plan for a short cut-over window to keep downtime minimal and provide a brief write-up of the commands or scripts you used so I can repeat the process later if needed.
