Description:
I am in need of a developer to create a Chromecast Proxy. The details of the project are as follows:
- I am looking for a Transparent Proxy to be developed.
- The proxy will be used specifically for streaming purposes such that a device connecting to the proxy will see a Gen4 (Google TV) in the same way it would see a Gen3 chromecast and utilise streaming of content including Netflix without requiring accounts to be stored on the chromecast device.
- Proxy will need to be operated from a Docker container (running on both ARM and ARM64 processors) and should consume as little CPU and RAM as possible as the host infrastructure is not always high spec.
System will require the ability to pass requests from client devices to specific chromecast devices. There will be an API provided which the system will need to use to map out these connections. Schedule of refreshing this list will need to correlate to a maximum calls per time period (configured as docker environment variables) and also trigger when a mapping for a source IP is not found.
There will need to be some manipulation of the REST calls within the proxy to ensure the client devices sees a Gen4 device in the same way as a Gen3 and initiates streaming applications correctly.

- Knowledge of network protocols and security measures.
