Seamless Microsoft 365 Domain Migration
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am ready to move our organisation’s email from its current Microsoft 365 domain to a brand-new domain without any interruption to service. Fewer than 50 user mailboxes are involved, and I would like the change handled through a carefully planned phased migration so nobody notices the switch. (An overnight or hybrid cut-over was considered, but the phased path best protects us from downtime.)
Here is what I need from you:
• Pre-migration audit and detailed plan, covering DNS, Exchange Online settings, aliases and client-side impacts.
• Step-by-step phased execution using Microsoft 365 Admin Centre, Exchange Online PowerShell and, where helpful, the Microsoft 365 Migration toolset.
• Live coexistence between old and new domains during the transition so every user continues to send and receive email seamlessly.
• Final cut-over once verification tests confirm mail flow, Autodiscover, mobile and Outlook profiles all work on the new domain.
• Post-migration clean-up and a concise hand-over document.
Acceptance criteria: zero downtime or mail loss, continuous access for all users during each phase, and full deliverables provided before the project is closed.
If you have proven experience performing domain moves inside Microsoft 365 with no service disruption, I’d love to hear how you would tackle this project and your estimated timeline.
