Gmail & Outlook Sync Setup
Budget: $50 – $0 USD
I want my personal email environment running smoothly on both Gmail and Microsoft Outlook, with every message—sent or received—showing up identically on my phone, laptop, and web browser. At the moment the two accounts are separate; I’d like them connected through a reliable IMAP/SMTP configuration so that folders, contacts, and calendars stay in sync no matter which device I pick up.
Here’s what I expect:
• Configure Gmail to work inside Outlook (latest desktop version) without breaking Gmail-specific features such as labels and threaded conversations.
• Enable two-way syncing so deleting, archiving, or flagging a message in one place mirrors everywhere else.
• Verify proper sending authentication (OAuth 2.0 where possible, correct SPF / DKIM records) to keep messages out of spam.
• Walk me through the setup on at least one mobile client (iOS Mail or Outlook mobile—whichever you find easier to demonstrate).
• Provide a short set of written steps so I can repeat the process if I replace a device in the future.
Once you finish, we’ll do a live test: send and receive from each platform and confirm everything updates instantly. If something looks off, I’ll point it out on the call and we’ll tweak until it’s perfect.
