Social Network Platform Build
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I’m ready to turn a concept for a new social networking platform into a fully working product. The stack is already chosen—React.js on the frontend, Python with either Django or Flask on the backend—and I want the build to reflect modern standards in code clarity, performance, and security.
Core scope
• Implement responsive React interfaces that feel fast and intuitive.
• Expose clean REST (or GraphQL, if you prefer) endpoints in Python to power them.
• Wire up robust two-factor authentication from day one.
Key features to land in the first release
1. User profiles with editable avatars, bio, and privacy controls.
2. Real-time or near-real-time messaging between users (WebSocket or long-polling are fine as long as latency stays low).
3. An activity feed that aggregates posts, likes, and follows with efficient pagination.
Data should sit in PostgreSQL or a similarly mature relational database, but I’m open to a brief discussion if another store suits the use case better. Every commit needs meaningful comments and unit tests; I care as much about maintainability as I do about shipping quickly.
When handing over, I’ll need:
• All source code in a Git repo with an MIT license header.
• A concise README that covers local setup, environment variables, and deployment commands.
• Postman (or cURL) examples for the major API calls.
• A short video walkthrough or screenshot set proving each feature works.
I value proactive communication and clear, realistic timelines, so please highlight any architectural decisions or blockers as you go. Once these three features are rock-solid we can move on to extras—push notifications, media uploads, analytics—but for now, the focus is getting this foundation right.
