Senior Backend Engineer (Django, PostgreSQL, AI, AWS) -Individual Developer(No Agency)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We’re building a career-focused platform with a mobile-first experience, and with 60% of the product already developed, we’re now looking for an experienced backend engineer to join as an individual contributor and help us complete and scale the remaining system.
You’ll be working within an existing codebase alongside our frontend team (React Native + Next.js), focusing on building robust APIs, optimizing database performance, and ensuring system reliability as we move toward launch.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, with strong expertise in Django and PostgreSQL, and proven ability to work on production-level systems rather than greenfield projects.
You should also have hands-on experience with generative AI integrations, particularly RAG pipelines and vector databases, and be comfortable integrating these into real-world applications.
Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure is required, including deployment, scaling, and managing backend services in a production environment.
This is a contract-based role for an individual (no agencies), with potential for long-term collaboration if the engagement goes well.
